Highways Heroes
Five colleagues have received top highways awards and recognition at the Highways Heroes Award 2022 during a glittering ceremony in London last night.
Jack Scott and Conor Morgan-Judd have received the award after their brave and quick-thinking actions helped to save the life of a man stabbed in the middle of the night in a central Manchester street.
They were nominated for the award following the terrifying incident in October 2021, while installing highway safety barriers in Manchester city centre.

Dawn Nadin, who received the Chairman’s Award had been nominated for her commitment to helping others – in and out of the workplace.
From volunteer running coach to recycling used PPE – and everything in between – Dawn always goes the extra mile.

Jim Cotter, Paul ‘Ash’ Ashmore who received the Personal Impact medal in recognition for their decisive action when they assisted an unconscious man who crashed his car on the motorway after suffering a heart attack.
The incident took place on the M6 in Cheshire in September 2021, while on their way to install a vehicle restraint system at the Climate Change Conference, in Glasgow (COP26).
