Every day on the UK’s roads, five people are killed, more than 60 are seriously injured and hundreds more are slightly injured, on average.
Working in partnership, Hardstaff Barriers, Asset VRS, Varley and Gulliver and Hill and Smith Barriers, work hard to manufacture innovative products and deliver solutions that help highway authorities to reduce these staggering statistics.
To mark Road Safety Week, which kicks off today, we’ve made a donation to Brake, the road safety charity, to show our commitment to reducing deaths and injuries on the roads.
Every VRS system, bridge and pedestrian parapet, crash cushion and passive safety post that we manufacture or supply plays a vital role in reducing the impact and the level of devastation caused in the event of a collision.
These solutions help highway authorities to work towards National Highways’ critical goal – that no one should be killed or injured on the strategic road network by 2040.
They also support the global Vision Zero strategy – to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries, while increasing safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all.
